Introduction to Dangerous Goods
Are you involved in the transportation of dangerous goods? Well if you are, then you would know you need the appropriate training to match your responsibilities and duties within this industry. IPS can help you!
Records of training need to be kept by employers and will be valid for a set-period, the average time used is two years, which coincides with the issue of updated regulations.
The courses provided and accredited by IPS International, will provide that record, equipping the learner with the skills and knowledge to keep within the law when transporting dangerous goods by road and sea, with the support of support of an experienced industry advisor. The courses can also be mixed with all levels and bespoke to your needs and your role.

These courses consist of workshop sessions with exam based activities, with the help and support of an experienced industry advisor. The courses can be bespoke to your needs and can include different levels of expertise. Providing knowledge and supported materials with a supportive industry experienced advisor at hand guiding you along the way.

- Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Five-Day initial course, an option for a three-day refresher course
UK law requires that any job undertaken which transports, loads or unloads dangerous goods by road must have a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA). To be a DGSA you must hold a vocational training certificate issued by the Department of Transport and examined by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
This Programme provided by IPS International will equip the learner with the necessary training needed in all the relevant areas that will be in the SQA examination.
The course is structured to provide the underpinning knowledge along with support materials with a supportive industry experienced advisor at hand to present quality help and support with the information needed.

- Dangerous Goods By Road and Sea Combined Options: - 3 Day Initial Course £470 + VAT per person - 1 Day refresher course £270 + VAT per person
- Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Options: - 5 Day Initial Course £995 + VAT per person - 3 Day refresher course £645 + VAT per person
All courses include refreshments and lunch and all training materials will be supplied.
NOTE: If you would like your copy of the workbook so that you can edit within and keep for future reference, this will need to be bought at an extra cost.

Venue The venue could be at our Rochester or Dover Centres, or we can travel to you, please note this will be determined on the number of learners and additional costs may apply.

For companies registered with Companies House and holding a VAT number we accept valid Purchase Order numbers.
Or you can pay by cheque crossed and made payable to “IPS International Ltd”.
Course Cancellation Fees In all cases notification of cancellation must be by letter or email to IPS International. If cancellation is within 28 days of the course date, full course fees + VAT are payable. If cancellation is more than 28 days before course date, the charge will be £75 + VAT.
IPS maintains a computerized record system of all trainees on IPS courses
IPS reserves the right to postpone a course if minimum numbers are not met.
