IPS International hosted its annual Engineering Apprenticeship Awards on the 21st June 2016 to celebrate the work and achievements of their learners over the past two years. The event took place at the Corn Exchange in Rochester, with IPS staff, apprentices and their families all in attendance.
Kim Hollands, Head of Funded Engineering & Manufacturing Training at IPS stated, “It’s the pinnacle of two years of hard work for most of the youngsters and it’s been a long tradition of IPS that we do this every year.
“We get some fantastic sponsorship from our companies so that we’re able to give the learners a couple of hundred pounds worth of tokens just to say well done.”
Special prizes were awarded to students with extraordinary achievements, including Milan Ruparel from the Year 1 BTEC class, Aaron Ryan from Year 2 BTEC and Callum Batty from the Performing Engineering Operations or Foundation Training class. Christopher Halsall and Jonathan Moore also won awards from IPS for their special achievements.
IPS International would like to send a special thank you to the following companies who helped to make the Awards Evening a great success; Aeromet, BAE Systems, Enhanced Control Systems, Fountain Workshop, Givaudan, Global Associates, National Grid, Roger Pocock and Southeastern.
