Do you work in Signmaking or Building Construction sectors? Do you know The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has withdrawn the Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card? CRO Cards issued since October 2015 expired on 30th September 2017. You must now take further steps to replace your CRO card with a different type of CSCS card to continue working in these sectors. IPS are offering NVQ only qualifications in Signmaking or Building Construction Multi Trades: Painting, decorating, woodwork etc. Either of these qualifications will enable you to apply for a five-year Skills Card (Blue Card).
These courses are designed for employees who would like a recognised qualification in either Signmaking or Building Construction Multi trades. To be able to take these qualifications you must already have two years’ trade experience.
You will need to complete an independent knowledge questionnaire and these qualifications will be on job experience with onsite observations. There will be two onsite assessor visits and you will need to produce paper evidence to prove you can do the work. Course units will be studied at a time and place convenient to you and your employer in your workplace and should be a duration of six months. In addition, while you are completing either of these courses, you can apply for a one year CSCS trainee card (Red Card).
