This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to develop their understanding of Mental Health Problems, aiming to raise awareness of Mental Health and a range of Mental Health Conditions.
This course aims to raise awareness of Mental Health, as well as raising awareness and understanding on a range of Mental Health Conditions.
In order to achieve the Certificate, learners are required to achieve 13 mandatory units:

Unit 05 - Understanding Depression
Unit 06 - Understanding Post-Natal Depression
Unit 07 - Understanding Bipolar Disorder
Unit 08 - Understanding Schizophrenia
Unit 09 - Understanding Dementia
Unit 10 - Understanding Eating Disorders
Unit 11 - Understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Unit 12 - Understanding Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Unit 13 - Understanding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD
- Upon completion, progression opportunities may include the Level 2 and Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, Level
2 Award in Awareness of Dementia and the Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care.
A 12 week course.
Learners can study at a time and place convenient to them. Designed for study by distance learning at work or home. You will receive the course manual, assignments and study guide plus tutor support by phone, email and one support session. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to 12 weeks from the date of registration.
