Mentoring

The NCFE Level 2 Award in Mentoring allows candidates to gain a deeper understanding of mentoring and develop the skills needed to become an effective Mentor. This qualification will develop practical mentoring skills to support a role in the voluntary sector, statutory sector or private workplace.

This course is excellent for any employers looking to mentor their employees and would like to gain an accreditation qualification in mentoring to support their employee’s wellbeing. It is suited for all occupational sectors.

Also if you are thinking of hiring an Apprentice this course provides the knowledge and skills needed to progress the learner/Apprentice through the various stages of an Apprenticeship and help deal with questions and problems as they arise. The mentor will be able to guide the Apprentice and help them to understand the requirements of the training provider, the employer, the awarding body and the endpoint assessment organisation.

Course Objective

This is a qualification suited for all occupational sectors. It allows trainee mentors to gain a deeper understanding of the role of mentoring and develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor. This qualification will develop practical mentoring skills to support a role in the voluntary sector, statutory sector, or private workplace.

Time frame

Learners will attend a 1/2 day training session, followed by an assignment in the workplace.

Observations will be planned during the programme to ensure practical skills meet the requirements. You will receive training, assignments and tutor support by phone, email and two support sessions.

You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to 12 weeks from the time of registration.
