Did you know upskilling itself has become a valuable skill? A person’s ability to learn new skills, adapt and change the way they work is just as important as their core professional skills.
Upskilling is also useful in a business to boost skills while improving retention and motivation.
Apprenticeships are a great way to upskill or retrain. With Apprenticeships available at many levels, from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) to Levels 6 and 7 (degree equivalent), you can progress in your career and use an Apprenticeship to upskill or to even retrain and change your career direction.
Here at IPS, we offer Apprenticeships in a range of sectors from Business & Digital Skills, Health and Social Care, Teaching and Training and Early Years. As well as Construction, Engineering and Automotive, all of which provide progression pathways.
Business & Digital Skills
Completing a Business Administration Apprenticeship is a great way to gain a highly transferable set of skills and knowledge that can be applied across all sectors. Progression can be up to a managerial level or you can upskill into a more specific field within the business by completing another Apprenticeship in this sector.
Health & Social Care
We offer a range of Health and Social Care training at IPS with plenty of upskilling opportunities. Our Level 4 and 5 Apprenticeships in Adult Care could lead to progression into a managerial role when working in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, community day centres, a person’s own home or some clinical healthcare settings.
We also offer Health and Social Care short courses at IPS to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of health and social care settings.
Teaching and Training
The Education sector is vital to the UK and will always need qualified and skilled staff. Our Apprenticeships allow you to enter this sector and also upskill in teaching support, quality assessment, assessing vocational achievement and more.
Early Years
We offer Apprenticeships to those looking to begin a career within a variety of early year settings, including preschool, playgroups, nurseries, hospitals, social care settings and home school provisions. As well as the opportunity to upskill to the next step of your career in this profession.
Construction
Construction Apprenticeships offer a great way to kickstart a career in the construction industry, but you can also use a Construction Apprenticeship to retrain in a different field or to upskill.
Engineering
Did you know that once completing a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship at IPS, you can progress to a Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in General Engineering, which can put you on the pathway towards being a Chartered Engineer and gaining a degree level qualification?
Automotive
Our Automotive Apprenticeship Standards could have you working in a variety of different roles; you may be working for a particular vehicle manufacturer, an independent garage, a company with its own vehicle fleet or perhaps a racing team. When choosing an Automotive Apprenticeship with IPS, you can choose between a pathway in either Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle (HGV) maintenance.
