The broad purpose of an Early Years Practitioner will be to work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities, purposeful play opportunities, and educational programmes within the ethos of the se� ng. An EYP works as part of a professional team ensuring the welfare and care of children under the guidance and supervision of an Early Years Educator, teacher, or other suitably qualified professional within the Early Years Workforce.

This qualification is suited to full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes, playgroups, nursery schools, home-based provision, hospitals, social care settings, out-of-school environments, and local authority provisions.

The duration for this apprenticeship is 12 months.

The completion of this apprenticeship standard will require blended training delivery. IPS will offer our employers and learners a versatile training experience, a flexible approach to employer and learner needs, and a mix of virtual and face-to-face visits. Ongoing relationship building and support from a qualified IPS trainer to help support the apprentice develop skills and progress the apprentice portolio building to prepare the learner for end point assessment.
