Level 2 healthcare cleaning operative

A Healthcare Cleaning Operative can be employed in any healthcare environment that requires specific attention to safety and sanitation. This includes a range of both public and private sector environments including NHS and private hospitals, care homes (nursing and residential), GP practices, community health centres, educational establishments, leisure facilities, and pharmaceutical retail outlets. This qualification is suitable for those already employed as a cleaner in a healthcare setting or those who wish to start a career in this sector.

The duration for this apprenticeship is a minimum 13 months plus 3 months for EPA.

Over the duration of 13 months, you will receive a combination of face-to-face and online training and support. You will undertake an assessment that will help us to understand your learning style and needs, then we will tailor your learning experience accordingly. We ensure that you stay on track to complete your programme on time by managing your progress through our state-of-the-art e-portfolio system. At the end of your programme, your learned knowledge, skills, and behaviours will be assessed by an independent assessor in your end-point assessment (EPA)

Progression from this apprenticeship is expected to be into a senior role. Following successful completion of your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Team Leader / Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship, or to an Adult Care apprenticeship at level 2/3.
